I am the Seminis Sales Representative for New Zealand. My role focuses on building customer relationships and serving growers across both the north and south island of New Zealand.
I’ve lived in three countries so far and I now call New Zealand home. I was born in the USA and as a kid I moved to Australia with my parents, where I lived for 14 years. During my time in Australia I worked on a friend’s farm which really helped me appreciate the importance of what agriculture contributes to the world. In 2010 my family and I relocated to New Zealand. I love the place so much, that despite my parents moving back to Australia I’ve stayed in New Zealand. During my time in New Zealand I’ve studied a Bachelor of AgriBusiness majoring in International Business and have previously worked at Farmlands Cooperative.
It’s a really great industry. Agriculture plays a huge role in New Zealand and vegetables are an important part of that. I like being a part of something bigger, the world has billions of mouths to feed and vegetable are key part of that process. It’s is also an extremely interesting industry with a lot of great people.
I’m a big sports fan, between Rugby and Cricket I’ve got something great to watch year round. I also enjoy getting out and about exploring New Zealand.
Onions. They’re delicious fresh or fried and are a pretty interesting vegetable to grow. They take around 16 years to breed and there’s a lot of knowledge and understanding required to fully appreciate them. Plus, they taste great on a BBQ!
